You're welcome Smiley I don't mind seeing the same photos of Ray over again when they are such nice ones but I still can't appreciate that cover art!! Glad you enjoyed the article Holly

I was able to read all of it, Sleepy, even with that bit of glare on the first page!
I especially liked the part about a song telling a story with a beginning, middle, and end, like a play, and it's true that many of Ray's songs tell a story. Maybe that's why he's so generous with his lyrics. At the point where another song would repeat a previous verse, Ray often provides a new one, so the song is always moving forward. (One of my favorite Davies songs is "Storyteller"!)

Yeah, sorry about the first page Gary I'm not the worlds best photographer, but I'm glad you were still able to read and enjoy the review Yeah, Ray's lyrics are fantastic, and I agree that so many of his songs tell a story. I know what you mean about the verse thing, I've noticed he also changes the chorus parts too sometimes, like in Better Things. And Storyteller is a wonderful song!

There is a shop in Sitges where they have a few British / American magazines. I normally go there to check the covers of Mojo and Uncut and if they are about something interesting sometimes I buy them. Yesterday I was thinking about whether to buy the Mojo magazine about the Beatles Yellow Submarine or not when I saw a copy of Word Magazine with Ray on the cover. I couldn't believe it! There was only one copy left, of course I didn't hesitate and I got it. This confirmed my fear that I'm a much bigger Kinks fan than Beatles fan.

Inaki, it's funny because when I found the copy of Word with Ray on the cover it was right at the back of the magazine rack and there was the only copy! Nothing wrong with being a bigger Kinks fan then a Beatles one - that's why you're here! I'm sure you'll enjoy the article, it's a great read!
