Thanks Kinkcan, Inaki, and Uncle
Yeah Inaki, you think of what you'd do/say if you ever met Ray, but then when it comes to it you go all shy - that's how it was for me anyway. Funny that it wasn't that way when I had that photo taken with Mick at the Kinks Kon - but then I was a bit drunk!
Have you met Ray a few times Inaki? And did you get chance to get a pic with him after Come Dancing? I know it was pretty hard as there were rather a lot of fans trying to talk to him, get photos, etc.
I can totally relate to that, you probably can think of many things to tell him now but when you have him there in front of you it's totally different.
I had already spoken to Ray several times: Liverpool 2004, Barcelona and Madrid 2006 and London 2009. I got a pic with him and another one with Mick after Come Dancing on Friday, it was probably easier and there were less people around. On Saturday I didn't even try to talk to him because there were many other fans and I thought it was fair to give them preference since I had already met Ray the day before.

Yeah Inaki, you think of things to say to Ray but when it comes to it, it's a different matter! I've had a couple of brief encounters with Ray but this was the first time I've spoken to him properly. I gave him at a birthday card at Meltdown from the edge of the stage (it was a couple of days before Ray's birthday) my friend wished him a happy birthday; me? - I stupidly said ''Yeah, it's a birthday card Ray!''
How lovely that you've managed to speak with Ray several times I'm glad you did get a photo with Mick and Ray after Come Dancing. I think it was very gracious of you to let other fans have preference to talk to Ray the day after, many wouldn't have been so restrained!! Inaki, do you feel like posting the photos of you with Ray and with Mick? I for one would love to see them! (No pressure though!)

Oh, these photos are great Inaki! Really close up and very clear. It's nice when you get shots like these, especially when you don't know if/when you'll get chance to have another oppurtunity like this! Who took the photos for you? - They did a great job!!
