Thanks for starting this page, Smiley. I'll bet there are a lot of sites out there that are Kink-centric. (No, not those kind of sites. )

Hi EVERYONE! Just rec'd this email from LONDON: but let's not give up! Thank you for your email.
Further to investigations, you may like to know that there is currently no planning application for this site, however, we should make you aware that the Clissold Arms is a locally listed building within the Fortis Green Conservation Area, and the building is not statutorily listed. It is unlikely to become so, as it is not of sufficient architectural merit to warrant statutory listing. In the circumstances, the Council does not, unfortunately, have any control over works carried out to the interior of the Public House, and, therefore, would not be able to use any planning powers to resist a refit.
Yours sincerely Cllr George Meehan
Leader of Haringey Council

Yes, I got one too. That George Meehan, a classic bureaucrat. I'm gonna vote for Matt Davies next time instead!

I'll never understand why they are taking the memorabilia down.

Both Ray and Dave Davies comment on the Clissold Arms in a new article from the Muswell Hill Journal. The link is too long to work on this forum.. but click to the Un-Offical Kinks Website and you can get to the article quick as a FLASH www.kinks.it.rit.edu/news-rumors.php

The 1966 Ford Galaxy Convertible used in the music video for "Scattered" is up for bids on eBay.com. Check out the page for cool photos of the video shoot.

You are performing a true public service here, Sharon. At first I thought that TV show was going to follow Dave as he re-learned to play guitar after his stroke. That would have been interesting, and probably inspiring to many people. A close friend of ours just had a stroke a couple of days ago , and I know that right now his family would be encouraged to see the sort of recovery that is possible. On the other hand, isn't it great that Dave is back to the stage of being one of the experts teaching someone else?
