I saw John last Friday night at City Winery and he was, as always, fantastic -- very funny and soulful. Last time I saw him there he did an acoustic set, but he had a full band with him this time. (Minus his usual bass player Patrick -- JH had someone else step in). They did several songs from the new album, which I really enjoyed. He looked good in a loose white linen shirt and jeans and a little hipster fedora hat.
I also have tickets to see him there again in October. I can't wait!

Glad you enjoyed the concert, Holly, John is a safe value. A bird told me that he will be playing Switzerland again soon!

Seconded Smiley! John Hiatt is a real pro with a great sense of humor. I'm looking forward to seeing him again in Switzerland soon.
