Anyone on here a Mod? or were you a Mod at one point? Quite fancy a thread to discuss the Mod scene in general ala fashion, music, where you like to buy your mod gear, stories, Mod clubs pubs etcetera.
I'll start off.
Picked up a new pair of clarks originals desert boots, love them been awhile since i bought a pair, havent half gotten really dear.

I remember desert boots! But I think they were popular in the US several years later -- I never realized before that they were considered "mod." I definitely identified with the Mods rather than the Rockers, though where I grew up there was no Mod scene to speak of. Flowered mini-skirts, ribbed "poor boy" sweaters, and newsboy caps were about the only fashion statements available in the Midwest. Oh, and fishnet tights worn with white patent leather go-go boots. But my mother nixed the idea of go-go boots.

The desert boot was worn by the british military during WW2 then the clarks company added the crepe sole and it instantly became a hit with the mods.
There's a pretty good scene here in glasgow aswell, usually get 60's mod soul motown blues nights etc popping up every so often.
Wasn't the mod scene popular or existent in the mid west at all holly? i know california had a small but dedicated scene. Surprisingly its really popular in spain and germany im sure.
oh and go go boots look braw on a lassie & that picture, oh my lol
i like that bit in a hard days night film where they ask ringo are you a mod or a rocker his reply, ....... im a mocker!
