I seem to think Holly started a similar thread last year so I thought it might be fun to have one this year! I just wondered what folks got for Christmas and what your favourite presents were. It might not have been a 'material' gift - maybe your best present was having a special family meal or visting/being visted by a relative or friend you don't see too often I haven't fully decided what my best presents are, but I'll let you know when I do decide!

I'd say mine was a conversation with someone cool.

I took an extra effort to cook special meals all weekend for my bro and dad; so my fondest present was actually that gift I tried to give to them!

Great Gifts Everyone!!!! My son got me two Live concert (re-mastered, Hi Def.) recordings of the Kinks. One of a FULL School Boys in Disgrace show and another of a Sleepwalker show. He also designed artwork for the cases. I was knocked out! He sure knows how to stuff my stocking! ;D I too was very happy to be with my extended families on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Watching my beautiful nieces open their pressies, to squeals of delight, is always so much fun. My Son, and Daughter both invited their sweeties over for Christmas Eve to exchange gifts. We had a festive night of food, fun and Metal Christmas Rockers. (you'll never look at Christmas Carols quite the same if you've heard them sung by Ronnie James Dio, Lemmie (Motorhead) and Judas Priest!)

It has to be the definition of "Gin-gerly" that John sent me

It has to be the definition of "Gin-gerly" that John sent me I was pleased to hear you did'nt live up to the hesitation of downing a brew that the 'word' indicated and had a Merry Sherry Christmas! Seriously, I was really pleased to know that you felt that was a fitting tribute to you Powerman! Anything I can to get you back around here more often; well I'll do me best!

Why am I not surprised that you had such a festive and cool Christmas! Funny, I just saw a review lauding a Twisted Sister Christmas album, with the final line being something like 'you can tell these guys love their Christmas tunes to the hilt'!

Thankyou for sharing everyone - it seems you all got some lovely presents, and its nice to hear that some of them weren't material things (of course those are good too, though!) Like many of you some of my best gifts were being with family over Christmas and chatting with some special friends I've been looking through my presents today and some of my favourites were a Beatles salt 'n' pepper shaker set from my mum, a Charmmy Kitty bag also from my mum, a Charmmy Kitty money box from my friend Pete, Hello kitty slippers from my friend Sandra and a Hello Kitty belt from my brother Danny. I also got a funny custom made Ray Davies t-shirt - I'll post a piccie when I get around to taking one! It was fun to hear what you all liked best about this Christmas, I'm glad folks had a good time!

It sounds like Sleepy had a Hello Kitty Kitty Kristmas! >^..^< Hehehhe! Looking forward to seeing that new shirt you got as well! Yes John, we're usually rockin' around the KinKsmas tree around here. Kev got a copy of METAL Christmas on the 24th and we got ROCKED playing it as we exchanged gifts -- even Grandma got into it. My daughter has been listening to endless x-mas music classics at her cosmetology school. She came home each day loathing to hear any christmas music at all -- even new contemporary rockers. Kevin's METAL album was just the thing to get her in the spirit as she was rather BAH HUMBUG! Glad to hear everyone had a happy and safe holiday. I pray the year ahead will bring good blessings to each of us. My greatest gift will be a job in the new year. ;D

That cartoon is funny. I wonder where it first appeared? It keeps popping up on the internet, whenever one googles Ray's name.
