Who are you suggesting my carrot represent, then? Well I was suggesting that the carrot in boots is your carrot Bub, but after comapring the two pictures I can see there are...differences! ;D Your carrot maybe looks a bit stockier so I reckon it might resemble Mick! If we're trying to recreate the original line-up then we need to find a Ray and a Pete too! ;D Glad that you got a laugh out of that picture too Kinkcan! ;D

My hobbies are Judo, karate, reading detective fiction, and cooking (but doing the dishes is not!).

I love silent movies -- especially comedies, but drama too -- and go to silent film festivals when I can. At the festivals, there's always live accompaniment -- but no Kinks music! I'm excited about going to the annual Buster Keaton Celebration in Kansas this weekend -- one of the perks of living in the Midwest. It's the 20th annual Celebration, so it's a pretty big deal. The drive down through the Lake of the Ozarks is nice too. See you all there!

The early talkies are pretty good as well - Laurel and hardy being my favorites. have a great time gary!

It's very easy to fall for Louise Brooks. There's something special about her when you see her in motion that doesn't always come across in still photos.
Uncle, I love Laurel and Hardy too. The "Essential Collection" box that came out last year is affordable and -- well, essential. Do you know about the Sons of the Desert, the international L&H society with 100 chapters, or "tents," around the world? I wish there was one a little closer to me.

My father told me about the society. Some of the best fun we ever had as father and son was watching Swiss Miss, Flying Deuces etc.........
Yes, I have a couple of Louise Brooks' movies, and they are great to watch!

Someone at the event this past weekend came up with the word I was looking for: When you see Louise Brooks on the screen, she is "present." It's like she's really there. It's a rare quality.
I had a great time and made some new friends. Next stop, Topeka in February!
