Thanks for the info, Sleepwalker. You're right, Amazon UK did change the album title - but it is definitely wrong. According to my source of information the Dave Davies' album will be released either as "The Lost Album" or "The Album That Time Forgot". I'll keep you updated. I don't come on very often, but thought it was worth sticking my head above the parapet. The album is indeed credited to Dave Davies and is called "Hidden Treasures" and is very different from from the '80s comp "The Album that Never Was" (the new release makes this redundant, if it was not already). Incidentally, given the paucity of detailed information back then Brian Hogg's liner notes on the aforementioned are pretty much on the money and very good indeed. The forthcoming CD is the perfect partner to the "Unfinished Business " CDs as there is material on the up and coming release that is seeing 'daylight' for the first time - and it sounds absolutely wonderful. Importantly, it pieces together the best that can be, Dave's missing '60s album and shines a light on Dave and his work. It is also probably the most extensively researched Kinks related archive release to date and is rammed full of info and rare images - as befits something that has been in the works for such a long time. For the record I stood down from the Fan Club committee over 11 years ago. But, I do still keep in touch with Bill and the team. Right, back to my hidey hole:-) Brgds Russell Smith

From Dave Emlem's Kindakinks site - ''Looks like the release date for the "lost" Dave Davies CD "Hidden Treasures" has pushed back to 31st October'' Halloween, and also Tim's birthday I believe!

I'm glad you finally got your copy of Hidden Treasures, Uncleson! Great, isn' it? I actually still need to get some of Dave's albums, I have all Ray's solo stuff and all the Kinks albums, but not all of Dave's. You're right about Kinked, its a beautiful album, and Live At The Bottom Line is one of the best live albums I've ever heard I also have Bug, Glamour, AFLI 4036, Kronikles and Hidden Treasures but there's still a fair few I don't have. I'm pretty sure there's a live version of the Bug album (I think it's called Bugged ) Do you have this Uncleson? There were a lot of Dave albums for sale at the Konvention and I planned to get a couple that I didn't have, at the end of the night when the sales stands were less busy - but by then I'd spent all my money so I couldn't afford any!
