So Alex just got home from being in Gunzenhausen Germany with 10 other high school classmates with a foreign exchange program. They all lived with host families in or near this small town about 5 hours south of Munich.
The town has one highschool and the kids would go to school with their host kids. It was a great experience for alex and we hope to "host" Alex's new friend Andreas next year when the German kids come to Chicago for 3 weeks.
Alex on the way to the airport in his first Limo ride.
The town of Gunzenhausen sits on a lake. Alex was in a small town with a population of 120 about 10 minutes away.
It was very different from our american suburbs. Much more character, though they did go to Burger King and Pizza Hut.
He's got some amazing shots of churches they visited in Munich and other small towns.
His group of American students went on a 3 day tour in the Alps.
This is his group of American students he went with. Alex is in red. He was the only Freshman to go while the rest are Juniors.
He's made some new friends to go along with an unforgettable experience. I've only seen about 400 of the nearly 600 pics he took. Ya gotta love those digi cams!
