Tim got it, sleepwalker! He doesn't have all their albums like I do! Oh sleepwalker, what do you think of the acronym CACR , for this thread? Sorry John - I've only just seen this post. I'm glad Tim got Picture Book, mum bought me it for my birthday and it's an excellent set! And the acronym you came up with for this thread suits me just fine John!

ELVIS PRESLEY - UPDATE - WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES - 70s Boxset
I just learned that Elvis Presley's boxet 'Walk a Mile in My Shoes-the Essential 70s Masters' is being reissued on April 5! For anyone looking for that before, this reissue is a relief as it is offered at an extraordinarily great price as opposed to the prior out of print set !
'From Nashville To Memphis- Essential 60's Masters' was reissued last November but unfortunately, the reissue of 'The King of Rock 'n' Roll: The Complete 50's Masters' in 2000 is now out of print like the original 1992 release!

The Holllies - Greatest Hits - 2003 - 47 Tracks on 2CDsSorry that I've left this thread dormant for awhile! I thought I'd reinvigorate it with a review that would be rather simple but quite sweet as far as listening pleasure! First of all, I want to make clear that I am not talking about the skimpy 13 track Greatest Hits that is widely familiar as a Hollies catalgoue album! This 2CD set has every Hollies track I was familiar with and virtually every chart hit they had around the world with the notable exception of their 'early 80s comeback' hit cover of the Supremes 'Stop! In the Name of Love'. It also introduced me to great tracks like 'Magic Woman Touch', Gasoline Alley Bred', 'Long Dark Road', and 'Lonely Hobo Lullaby'! www.amazon.com/Greatest-Hits-Hollies/dp/B00008AWNW/ref=sr_1_2?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1302370725&sr=1-2It's an incredible collection with pristine sound and turned me from a Hollies admirer into a fairly large fan! I'm sure Martin can recommend individual albums for various 'periods' that anyone might like to explore further. I'll just say buying this would be one of the best $8 or $9 you could ever spend; and please upgrade to this if all you have is the 13 track Greatest Hits! This is 9.8 Star collection on a 10 Star scale in my book!

Great! I know you made some Hollies recommendations to me a while ago Martin But I ended up getting the 2CD Greatest Hits set instead, which I've really enjoyed very much! I'd definately like to hear you recommendations again, hope I didn't seem rude first time around!

Packaged in a 29cm square box it also comes with a 40 page booklet, photo book, exclusive art print, 5 collector's cards, replica tour ticket, replica backstage pass, scarf, 3 black marbles, 9 coasters and a 12 page credits booklet. Wish You Were Here – Immersion BoxsetThis "Immersion Edition" of Pink Floyd's 1975 album "Wish You Were Here" features James Guthrie's 2011 remaster, a disc of previously unreleased live & alternate versions, an audio DVD with the original 1975 stereo mix, quad mixes and 5.1 surround mixes, a DVD with concert films and a Bluray disc featuring stereo & 5.1 surround mixes as well as concert films. Petula ClarkI normally have written recommendations of sets that I have already owned! In this case, I've identified what I think is a definitive set without actually having picked it up myself. I quite enjoy Petula 'Pet' Clark's string of big hits in the US in the mid/later 60s but wasn't aware that her career went way back into the 50s and that she had many hits in the UK/Europe before striking our shores. My mom was a fan and I have been picking up individual records and definitive sets of artists that my mom had interest in out of a sort of personal tribute to her. I feel bad that this thread has went dormant; I personally put up to a couple hours into some of my recommendations from experience and knowledge augmented by research! As far as Pet, I recommend this double cd set if you want to gather all of her UK and US Top 40 hits! Her Greatest Hits www.amazon.com/Petula-Clark-Her-Greatest-Hits/dp/B000005C5L/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1328722587&sr=1-1I did put my money were my mouth is and I just ordered this set! I hope it lives up to my billing ; literally and figuratively !
