There are several business and personal issues to take into consideration before this would be at all possible. I have not played on any of Rays new stuff. Neither has he performed on my latest CD 'Fractured Mindz' or any of my solo work. I am busy promoting and working on my own projects at the moment and If there are any plans to do Kinks shows in the future be assured that Me and Ray would be the first to know before any speculative or misinformed well wisher or self-promoting drunk for that matter.
Sometimes some of the references and crap posted on this board lately fill me with 'dismay'. Fortunately I don't have the time to read it all. I am sure the majority of contributors are sincere and well meaning. But if you have nothing intelligent or caring or interesting to say except rant about meaningless garble, gossip or hear say then stay away. If the Kinks and our legacy means anything to you then show some respect for the artists and people who created it. If intellectual choas and emotional disorder and dysfunction fills your minds then you are all well suited for the funny farm but I won't be joining you. I have far more important things to do with my Life as indeed you should ALL have. A few of you out there and you know who you are really should now grow up. Have fun but also please have some common sense and common decency.

I just kept waiting for Dave to come out and play on Saturday night. I ended up having to do his vocals....much to my row-mates dismay....I am not alone when I say that Dave was missed..

Dave's statement has hit the media news blogs...just got my first alert about it to my email and I also posted a comment to the one stupid one someone else posted. I actually had one with his most recent statement but can't find it now, but you're right that was the old statement??? Better late than never. The new statement should hit the news by next April at that rate! And Yes, I have been trying to help get his new statement to be picked up by the meda by mentoning it everywhere and every chance I get so maybe that will speed up the process a bit??? I was kind of annoyed at that first guys comment, it was funny to us but there are some people not in the know like us here and might take that kind of comment seriously. Just recently on some fox network a similar joke reference in a mock news report about band reunions concerning the kinks was made. I didn't hear it myself but heard about it. I guess defending and protecting The Kinks is like a reflex to me, been doing it so long I can;t help myself! LOL! " And I won't take it all lying down,'Cause once I get started I go to town." |

Dave's new statement was on a thread he deleted... Your posting of it on Ray's site is the last evidence of it.....

The fact that Dave can delete references and statements he makes in response to Ray's pronouncements perhaps shows that he just isn't into "the game" that Ray plays.
Whether his responses get into the media or not doesn't seem to be an issue. He's just being forced to react by the posters who keep putting the stuff up on his board. Perhaps you can tell he is getting tired of it.... or perhaps you can't...

All I know he is getting tired of abusrd, child like beahaviour, and name calling and finger pointing is on the top of his list. And no one wants to see it here either! As I'm sure you would agree as well, because I know you are an intelligent and rational person.  |

I so wish the animosity weren't there. I've loved the Kinks since I was 14--and was lucky enough to see them that summer. Only saw them one more time for the Sleepwalker tour--and it was the best show I've ever seen--period.
I respect Dave's feelings. I just wish the two of them could work their differences out. To see both of them on stage again would be a dream come true.
In the mean time, just have to accept what is. But I'll always miss their band. There was no one out there like Kinks.

I agree. In fact, I just wish they'd solve their differences for their own peace of mind; forget about whether it ends up in a Kinks reunion. (Though of course I wouldn't say no to a Kinks reunion!)

Welcome Kate, I wish they would resolve the all the crap. But I get it too, I have brothers and a sister, you just don't always see eye to eye. (I wouldn't turn down a reunion-i would be in heaven to see the kinks at least once more)
