I'm just trying to record as much as I can, ... It's like a lifelong obsession with rock music that I've had since I was very young. I don't know what it is, but I like it and want to be around it and participate in it. It's the same today, a very youthful kind of feeling.

'Rock and roll music, if you like it, if you feel it, you can't help but move to it. That's what happens to me. I can't help it.'

We decided to start our own group because we were bored with everything we heard, ... Everything was 10th-generation Led Zeppelin ... overproduced, or just junk. We missed music like it used to be.

No one likes to work for free. To copy an artist's work and download it free is stealing. It's hard work writing and recording music, and it's morally wrong to steal it.

I try to put myself into unusual and difficult situations as often as I can in order to capture the element of struggle in the music.

Friends can help each other. A true friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself - and especially to feel. Or, not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at the moment is fine with them. That's what real love amounts to - letting a person be what he really is.
- Jim Morrison

I said, other people can write songs, let's see if I can. So the first 400 or 500 wound up on the floor somewhere. Then I wrote one called Melissa.

Punk is musical freedom. It's saying, doing and playing what you want. In Webster's terms, 'nirvana' means freedom from pain, suffering and the external world, and that's pretty close to my definition of Punk Rock.
