according to the San Diego News; here is the official reason for Dave's tour cancelation;
"Working Out the Kinks: It’s not unheard of for even legendary musicians to blow off shows for “health reasons” (which sometimes can mean really weak advances ticket sales). But the reason given for the cancellation of Kinks’ lead guitarist Dave Davies’ six-city U.S. tour, which was scheduled to begin here tonight at Anthology, sounds curious at first glance. “His current medical condition will not allow him to fly because of his unstable blood pressure,” is the official explanation. Seem suspicious? Perhaps. But Davies, 63, suffered a major stroke in 2004 and it took him several years to be able to learn to talk and play guitar again. Here’s hoping this 1990 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee be able to fly here from his native England soon."
