The stories and pictures will flow in the future...all I can say is that besides writing a new song called we are The Trappist Monk Appreciation Society and singing that at the top of our lungs among other songs , both Blamo and myself had to be lifted up the stairs and out to the dark streets of London with the help of waiters dressed in Monks robes at the Belgium Central Pub...Princess Marina has all the details and a lot more stories and some pictures too. I really remember very little of that night or the morning after too. but from what I've been told happened it sounds like we really had a lot of fun and drank way more than we should have. Poor Andrea though had to deal with the aftermath of getting me back to the hotel and the thereafter, if every picture tells a story than my bruised and battered body tells quite a whooper, I'm still feeling the effects right now.
One quick note about the Royal Albert Hall London show...Ray and the band were in top rocking form and were amazing...with the help of Jayne, Olga, Andrea, Princess Marina, Noisy Room, Christine we all got the crowd riled up toward the end almost to the point where at least up at the front in seemed like a NYC/Chicago/Boston Kinks show which is very unusual for the normally reserved British audiences. We got it going to a lesser level in Edinburgh, in Glasgow nothing seemed to work though depsite how good Ray and band played the audience remained pretty still. Two new songs being done were No One listens to me or something like that, even Raywhen talking to me gave me different titles all close to that, and the other song is called " Imaginary Man " which is absolutely brilliant with klassic kinks stamped all over it !
There is so much more to tell but I am so backed up from being away I will tell more in bits and pieces and wait for others especially Princess Marina to tell more when she gets home later this week...
If I didn't know before which I did of course this trip just confirmed again that... Kinks Fans are the greatest fans and people in the world !
You make it all worthwhile !
