[reprinted from the KPS Digest]
"Do It Again," about my irrational quest to reunite the Kinks, will be
making its world premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival on
Jan. 28. The film of my journey includes testimonies and music from Sting,
Paul Weller, Robyn Hitchcock, Zooey Deschanel, Clive Davis, Peter Buck,
Scott McCaughey, Warren Zanes and- some of you!
In fact, I'd say that the many, longtime and loyal Kinks fans helped make
this movie possible. For those who remember, we filmed at and around the
2008 Konvention at Boston Arms.
The film will also be playing in Rotterdam on January 30 and 31 at the
festival. Here are the specific dates and theaters:
01/28/2010 19:15 Pathe 5
01/30/2010 13:00 Pathe 1
01/31/2010 09:45 Cinerama 7
You can start ordering tickets online on 22nd of January through the website
of the film festival: www.iffr.nl
Even if you can't see the film in Rotterdam, we've already been invited to
show the film at other festivals, including the Glasgow Film Festival
(screening Feb. 21) and in my hometown in April at the Boston Independent
Film Festival.
The best thing about the Boston screening: The theater serves beer!
Feel free to get in touch with any questions and I do hope to see some you
at a screening.
